A new broom sweeps clean. When sorted out, he may have properly exercised his powers as Sheriff. People who can't perform should be replaced. The fired employees included four of the highest-ranking officers, all of them white. Hill told the newspaper their replacements would be black.
Sorry, this is just a case of racism plain and simple. They should ride this sheriff out on a rail. He just cost that county millions.

It appears that the new Sheriff is trying to send some sort of message, unfortunately the message that's being broadcasted right now is a loud boisterous "I'm a racist!". He could have quietly replaced those officers over a period of time if he felt the officers were part of a 'good ole boy network' who had abused their powers. The remark that the replacements would be black does not look good.

The last time I looked, this was still America, and Civil Servants have to be proven incompetent before they are given the ax. This act is no different than what the Clinton's did to the White House Travel Office.

I can't wait to see the new Sheriff cars. When Sheriff Hege took office in Davidson County, NC, he got himself a bad ride souped-up Chevy with spider emblems on it. I think he even put sponsor badges on it. Our sheriff told us that he eventually had to tell Hege that it was "still an Impala".
I bet the new Sheriff Shogun gets him an Escalade or Navi
