I think I know what happened here:
I'll bet money that she wrote this book last year, believing that Bush was going to lose the election. This book would then be among the new realeases trying to "explain" why Republicans lost.
Only... it didn't work out that way... and the book was already in the hopper so she's trying surf it as well as she can, even though none of it makes any sense. Funny how its actually the democrats that need a book entitled "It's my party too".
Maybe that's what this really is.
Hmm...

Thoughtful analysis and I bet you are right. It came out too quickly after the election and doesn't really make sense. I think you nailed it.

You are wrong with your "theory". I am a staunch Republican Woman and agree with Gov Whitman. The president is doing a fab job, still doesn't dismiss the fact the number of women in cabinet positions leaves alot to be desired. When we do apply ourselves we are dismissed. You obviously do not live in NJ, Christie NEVER brought shame and disgust to Trenton. She was always very dignified and compassionate to men and women.
