FARC Confirms that "the Chancellor" was Kidnapped in Caracas

The Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) confirmed that Rodrigo Granda Escobar, known as "the Chancellor" was kidnapped in Venezuela, while attending the Second Bolivarian Peoples Conference.

In a statement published on their web page, the Central Command of this organization blamed the kidnapping of "Ricardo", as he is known within FARC, on "the Colombian intelligence services" and blamed his deportation on "gringo advisors and the complicit support of corrupt elements of the Venezuelan police".

In the statement they went on to ask that the government of Venezuela make "its position clear regarding guarantees to the other bolivarian organizations that visit their country to take part in future events".

In addition they said in the statement published on the web that "General Jorge Daniel Castro, the police director, without blushing in front of the TV cameras, lied to Colombia and to the world when he claimed that Ricardo was captured in Cúcuta while returning from Venezuela, as a way of hiding the activities of his agents outside of Colombia without the official authorization of their counterparts."

They called the event "a deplorable precedent which must be clarified as soon as possible to clear up doubts and suspicions surrounding this inexplicable event, which constitutes a serious offense against the bolivarian movement of the three brother countries, sons of the Liberator".

"Meeting in Fort Tiuna"

According to the latest issue of the magazine "International Resistance 32" linked from the FARC's official web page, below the title "A Sword Crosses the Continent"... [snip]... 1,400 delegates from Latin America, the Caribbean, and the world, met in Fort Tiuna (headquarters of the bolivarian revolution), sharing ideas to advance the political program of Bolívar".
