Absentee ballots?

How do they know, I cannot recall writing much on my ballot?

Absentee or "Provisional" all require signatures. Probably the best thing is to throw out the "hand" recount. Too many fingers in the pot!

you have to sign both provisional and absentee ballots in Washington State.

Could they be talking about the new people that just registered? I would assume there would be hand writing on these applications.

Absentee ballots require a signature on the return envelope.
If 400 ballots have different signatures, but the same handwriting style ---VOILA!!
