Just a comment to those who have been in an abusive relationship and got out.
Ignore what the "thumpers" are saying. They were not in your situation nor could ever hope to know what kind of abuses go on in a relationship like that. They wear blinders and tell you all you need is the power of God to overcome your situation, which means "stay and take it".
My first marriage ended in diivorce because I was married, she was not. Best thing I ever did with that bi-polar, never knew who was in my bed, lying wench.
My present wife and I have known each other since 9th grade....we are now near 50, been married for 9 years and have had the most pleasant of experiences you could hope for. Her life was no cakewalk either, but if the "thumpers" think they know best, they know nothing of reasons for divorce.
Walk a mile in my shoes before you judge my character.
