Not,it wasn't depressing---there were more good years than bad and my family life with five kids kept us all busy.

When I finally made the decision to get a divorce it was tough for all but we survived and we all get along well.That was 17 years ago and we were married for 27.

Life goes on!

Good for you.

I was only married 4 years, and thankfully there were no children involved, at least on my part.....he had 3 from a previous marriage.

Smartest thing I ever did.

No problem. One does what one has to do to get by. It was just that the way your original post was worded, it made it seem like the divorce was the highpoint of your and your families lives.
