Bruce Sutter and Goose Gossage should be there.....

20-25 years ago, those guys were dominating.....but since the role of the closer today has become a 1 to 3 out specialist, saves go out like candy, so people forget about those two.

Those guys would pitch 2.5 innings many times, and if your team had to face them in the 7th, you knew your team wasn't going to win.

All I can think of with Goose is the 84 World Series where Goose refused to walk Kirk Gibson in Game 5 in the bottom of the 8th inning trailing by one run.....

Three run homer....Tigers beat Padres 8-4 and win it all.

Bruce Sutter and Goose Gossage should be there.....

Along with Lee Smith. Those three should join Wilhelm, Fingers, and Eckersley as relievers in the Hall.
