Well, I am, and let's be honest for a moment - Ryno was a heck of a fielder, but he was a lightweight at the plate.

Ryne Sandberg doesn't belong in the Hall of Fame, his name doesn't even belong on a ballot.

I went to Cooperstown 2 summers ago, half those players don't belong in there. They are not the "elite" of the game.

Ryne Sandberg is not an "elite" second baseman, good yes, great maybe, but not elite.

Why do you say that? He finished in the top 10 in the league in slugging percentage five times. Not too many second basemen do that.

Huh? Sandberg was the best defensive and offensive player at his position during his career.
