FIRST, declare Christmas to be a religious holiday and therefore NOT a federal holiday.
SECOND, declare that Jesus Christ, whatever religious belief is associated with him, is a historical figure of extreme significance. Therefore, public displays of his life and teachings are to be allowed, especially in the Christmas season.
Then let's have a national debate on the subject before December.
HEY....YOU got THAT right....if they can make Martin Luther King day a NATIONAL HOLIDAY....why can't JESUS CHRIST DAY (CHRISTMAS) be a religious one, too? And, besides...who WAS Martin Luther King named after? Sheesh.
