Not to mention the islamic judges who rape convicted women before their death sentences are carried out for whatever trifle they were charged with (driving, talking back, showing a toenail, etc)--no, it seems like sexual perversion goes with the islamic territory..

Personally, though, I blame the husbands.
An honorable muslim husband would have beaten his wives sufficiently to instill absolute submission to Allah.
If it weren't blasphemy, I would propose that sharia be changed such that a husband would be fined $10 for each of his wives that required beheading or stoning.
