And this is similar to the logic that says:
"As a believer in fundamentalism, I know of no one who seriously doubts the existence of God amongst the theologians and churchgoers I have personally met."
Logic that goes round and round.

The point he is making is that no one who observes the moths can have any doubt about the significance of bird predation. This is a key point that Wells is challenging in his attempts to trivialize bird predation. It's actually one of the oldest inane objections to the peppered moth natural selection model (Wells even notes it early in the above article).
Is it just my imagination, or is it always evolution opponents who exhibit such deplorable reading comprehension skills in these threads?
