I would just like to finish this thread with a final thank you to all FReepers for your thoughts and wisdom.
I don't know if any local FReepers made it, but the police estimate of the people was about three (3) thousand visitors.
Our family has been overwhelmed and we are totally exhausted.
Again, a Final Freeper THANK YOU to ALL.

The first couple of days will be the hardest. After that, you get kind of numb about your loss. The hurt is still there but it's easier to handle, because you have to get on with life. And you begin to focus on all the good memories you have, as you remember and are grateful for how your loved on shaped your life.
It helps to put flowers on the gravesite for major holidays and the loved one's birthday. Once a year, have memorial flowers on the altar at your place of worship.

Sorry I haven't seen your post until today -- may the Lord grant you strength and comfort you and your family.

May God bless your family and help you in the grieving process.
Just a thought: Cleaning out the closets will be one of the hardest parts in letting go.
