I thought I would always remember the particulars of election 2000, but wasn't it something like Dec. 19th when all the recounting stopped? I could Google it, but I'm lazy tonite.
My point being, Al Gore fought his Soreloserman little butt off to become president.

Yes, Al Gore fought to the highest court in the land and was defeated there, as well.
Unless the writer is talking about armed rebellion, there was not any other venue in which Gore could lose...
