Lol. Thanks. Keep your fingers crossed. I always get more calls when I have a job than when I don't. I've gotten two calls from places I applied to before I got my job.

I once read some great advice. Never refuse to talk to someone who wants to hire you. Now, there is a difference between someone who wants to hire you and someone who is interested in talking with you about an interview. However, we never know when something might come about that we want that person's initial interest to have already formed into a good opinion.

This can be tricky when you are already employed, but if you handle it right, and develop, or cultivate, the contact not as an interview but as a networking tool, it can be very helpful later on.

What this would translate to for me if I were in your current situation, is that I would sincerely thank the person for their interest over the phone, ask them as many questions about their company and the job as they'll take time for, and be businesslike, grateful, and polite. I'd like to hang up the phone with that person knowing I am interested in future contact if something works out.
