I may be in the minority, but I don't just see God in good things, I see his wrath in bad things.

How can God let/cause this to happen? IMO, we humans get rather arrogant at times and need to remember Who exactly is in control.

God certainly created this world, and is omnipresent rather than omnipotent.

I have to disagree. I believe God is omnipresent, omniscient, and omnipotent. I do not believe that any of these removes free will.

IMO, the best video showing the power of the tsunami can be downloaded here. To download, right click on the link and select "Save Target As". The size is 3.4 MB.

The video is of the hardest hit area, Banda Aceh, Indonesia. It is rumored the tidal wave was about 60 feet when it hit the beach. The video shows water levels nearing the roofs of some of the few remaining buildings, indicating a flood of water and debris about 15-20 feet deep.
