Well, where do I begin? This whole piece is about her definition of heros and goats. She is a hero because she has the "utmost respect for life", but elects to kill life.(hero) Her boyfriend is a hero for "teaching her that abortion is a civil right".(hero)He is also a hero because he is a smart person "a leader of the Medical Student Union". She is a hero because she has been asked and has taught "medical abortion to others".(hero)She is a hero because she "would sacrifice everything" for the cause. She is a hero because she "would not hesitate to perform abortions even though abortionist get shot at". She is a hero because "she has no problem with a woman walking out of her clinic", (I am sure because the wallet biopsy was negative).
Now the goats. Those ignorant prolife, antiabortion parents, church teachers, those who, in her words, force an 11 year old to have a baby, those mean nurses who will not participate in the killing, those faithless providers who disagree with her avocation and will not participate, parents who do not want the public schools to teach sex education and hand out condoms.
Now to PITY: increased workload,it can be hard, it can be taxing, it can be tough, you can really get tired, it can move people to tears, it really frustrates, it is upsetting, I don't think about the threats, I am going to sacrifice everything for the cause, it is unfair and depressing, and ...how could anyone think I was doing something wrong?
Now to EUPHEMISMS: terminate pregnance = killing children,....it = human being....civil right = right to kill a human being,......a good thing = killing human beings,........Providers = People who kill people,....life begins in the womb, = you can take human life ad lib,....sacrifice = the hard work of an abortionist.
I am in the buisness of surgery. I don't and never have performed abortions. I have delivered 20 week gestation babies, intubated them and sent them to a neonatal care unit. Guess what,.....they look like little people. The doctor who is quoted in this article is the most self-centered person I have ever read about. This buisness, to her, is all about her. But I give all of my fellow freepers a warning. This is what medical schools are producing or trying to produce. Soulless empty vessels who, as one previous poster on this thread said, would do well in Mengelee's clinics. She is a shame to a profession who swears to "First, do no harm." That is the clarion call of medical doctors down through the ages. Now its is about what is expeditious for the physician. Read and reread this and you will get a glimpse into what many in American medicine explicitly or implicitly subscribe to.
"This buisness, to her, is all about her. "
Exactly!
"But I give all of my fellow freepers a warning. This is what medical schools are producing or trying to produce. Soulless empty vessels who, as one previous poster on this thread said, would do well in Mengelee's clinics."
Frighteningly vacuous and cold blooded! I didn't know this was the prevailing attitude in medical schools. Thanks for the post
Best regards,
Tim
