The excitement of the elections is still going strong. With the decisive victory for President Bush and the increased majorities in both the House and Senate and throughout the state governments of the land, we conservatives should look forward to finally being able to achieve some of our goals.
Look for President Bush as commander-in-chief to continue wiping out the scourge of terrorism from the world. Free elections have already taken place in Afghanistan and are about to take place for the first time in history in Iraq! Fifty million people liberated in the middle east! The butcher of Iraq is in chains and about to be tried for his crimes against humanity. Thank you President Bush for a magnificent job of putting down terrorism!! And thank you to our men in women in the armed forces for your dedication to God, duty, and country and for your personal sacrifices for our freedom and security. The nation owes you a great debt of gratitude! May God bless you all and return you safely to your homes and loved ones!
Tax reform is on the radar! We hear more and more each day about the possibility of either overhauling the income tax system or even replacing it altogether! Hurrah! President Bush has a golden opportunity to LIBERATE all Americans from this horrendously unfair and anti-freedom slave tax that has enslaved us all for nearly a century! And in the process, he'll be freeing up the productive capital and resources that will once again make America the envy of the entire world! There is no other country or economic system in the world that can out produce America when we are allowed the freedoms that our forefathers fought and won for us over 200 years ago. It's way past time that we rise up and overturn the ill-conceived income tax imposed upon us by the populists and progressives (socialists) of the last century. We should declare 2005 as the year the battle for freedom from tax slavery begins!
And we can look forward to President Bush appointing conservative judges to the federal courts and the Supreme Court! Thank God we have a conservative president and a Republican majority in the Senate rather the the traitor John Kerry and his gang of liberal obstructionists! Daschle the lead obstructionist is gone! Liberalism defeated! We know that the Democrats will not roll over and play dead, but I doubt the Republicans are going to stand for the all out obstructionism of the last four years. Either the president's nominations get a hearing before the full Senate or we can expect nuclear action! Go Pubbies!!
And Free Republic was in the thick of it again! In addition to the thousands of FReepers campaigning and working hard to get conservative candidates elected, we had some real successes right here on the forum. I think of Buckhead and TankerKC on Howlin's now famous thread calling for an examination of Dan Rather's forged "Texas Air National Guard" memos. Way to go FReepers!! Your sharp eyes and diligent efforts have sent yet another infamous lying socialist MSM propagandist to early retirement! Congratulations!!
And what can we say about the fantastic work of John O'Neill, Jerome Corsi, and the SwiftVets, and our very own Interesting Times!! Way to go guys!! You've restored honor and dignity to the names of countless Vietnam Vets and have exposed John F'n Kerry as the disgraceful fraud and traitor that he actually is. And, in doing so, you've helped save the nation from falling into the despair and shame that it would have under a President Kerry. God bless you and thank you! Welcome home brothers!
And let's not forget our FReeper Ball! Come to DC and join us in celebrating the reelection of President George W. Bush and honoring our men and women in the armed forces and our honored guests. Dance the night away to the rock and roll music of Gov Mike Huckabee and his Capitol Offense band and enjoy dinner and refreshments and the great company of your countrymen and fellow FReepers!
Thank you all very much for your continued support. Your generous donations during these quarterly FReepathons keep Free Republic on the air and makes it the very best conservative site on the Internet!!
God bless you all,
Jim
P.S. Don't forget to offer prayers for the victims and families that have suffered so much after the devastating earthquake and Tsunami waves. I've included links on our homepage to a couple of threads where FReepers have posted URLs and addresses of relief organizations. Please donate if you can.
actually if I had a fair funkle, which I might have if I only knew what it meant, It would definitely have frunkles.
The word was coined in the June 2001 Freepathon by Freeper 2ndMostConservativeBrdMember:
"funkle - when you've discovered you are talking to yourself on a thread and the last 5 replies are from YOU!"
It is posted at #145 on the 2nd Edition Lexicon thread:
http://www.freerepublic.com/forum/a3a1fed9e6421.htm#145
2ndMost also coined "funklus terminus": The last post on a thread. (Note: This is for Gabz, LOL)
Funklus terminus was posted by blam at #146 on the Lexicon Thread.
In the September 2001 Freepathon, the late 1John posted the "Rules for Funkeling" that we use today.
Rules for Funkeling.

Thanks for all you do & for providing us with the bestest thing on the 'net! ;-)
I know you sent that info to queenkathy but I didn't know that stuff either, so thanx---
I just HATE being the last poster on a thread---I have become paranoid thinking that whenever other posters on a thread see my screen name, they run as fast as they can to another thread.
Then, if I go to another thread and see someone's name from the thread I came up last in, I am afraid to post because they might leave again.
There actually is a name for it? Kewl!!!
Thank you for clearing that up. I am a better person for it!
Hi Gabz!
LOL!!
hahahahahaaaaaaaaaaa
Gee thanks!!!!!!!!
don't feel bad - I'm a notorious thread killer......no matter the subject!!!!!
Hi gunner!!!!!
Did you enjoy the holiday?.....You know the ones I mean.....
Every dollar helps..clean out the piggy bank, rake that change off the dresser..but contribute!
Exit148's Loose Change Club is an excellent way to become a Free Republic donor, especially when the budget is squeezed (and mine has been squeezed many times in the past!).
As a member the Loose Change Club, I now keep a 16 oz plastic cup on my desk and toss some of my loose change into it daily. During the past few FReepathons, it's totaled between $10 and $20 per quarter, and I use that to supplement my monthly donation.
Some may believe that a "small amount" of loose change wouldn't make a difference. But as Exit148 (and my own experience) has shown, it can add up quickly.
For those who aren't able to make an automatic monthly donation via credit card, the Loose Change Club is a way to make a "monthly" donation during the Freepathons. Think of it this way, just $10 of loose change saved per quarter is equivalent to a donation of over $3 per month. Remember MonroeDNA's challenge? And Grampa Dave's?
I would like to challenge Freepers and Lurkers who are not currently donating to give the Loose Change Club a try. Your donation will make a difference! And be very much appreciated!
Thank You For Your Support!
