I saw a new MD on a different matter during all this and he wrote me a referral to a chiropractor. The chiropractor completely handled my case in a matter of weeks. I don't have pain and I don't live on drugs.
I go to a chiropracter who is also trained in physical therapy. He doesn't try any of the coffee enema stuff on people...he helps my lower back when it hurts (residue of a strained muscle from about 6 years ago), and has helped my husband who has an arthritic neck condition.
There are things they do well...and if you know a good one, it is worth a lot for those achies...no meds, but good pain relief...
Good for you. Some short-sighted folks on this thread think like this:
One bad chiroprator = All bad chiropractors
Why not apply this logic to all facets of life?
One bad steak = All bad steaks
One bad car = All bad cars
Some with bad chiropractic experiences are the victims of charlatanism. Others refuse to take ownership of their own health care. If you go to a chiropractor and tell him that you don't believe that he can fix your high cholesterol and that you'd like him to fix the crick in your neck, thank you very much, most are willing to comply.
Chiroprators specialize in fixing your frame. Nothing more. Sheesh.
you obviously made the mistake of thinking that the anti-Chiropractor posts here lacked FACTS to convince them. No, it has nothing to do with actual facts.
I too have benefited after my MD failed to help me, but that's just our little secret...
