The federal government is not a regulator of consensual behavior between adults--or shouldn't be. Your story is a case of apples and oranges--if this particular fruit had been allowed to marry and do as he pleased, he might not have messed up other people's lives.

You and I may dislike this person's personal morality, but it's none of our freakin business. It always astounds me when supposed conservatives think we should give the power to control personal lives involving consensual interaction to some government body. I thought it was the liberals who wanted to punish people for private behavior like smoking, speaking their mind in theor own way, using "hate speech" that's anything outside the liberal ideology.

The meddlers in others lives need to get lives of their own. If two guys wanna do disgusting things in their own house, like it or not, they're taxpayers, too. I couldn't give a damn what they do in their homes, because I want them to get the hell out of MY business. Meddlers in ANYONE's personal affairs are no friends of mine.

The government recognizes families. Mothers and fathers have the legal right and responsibility for raising and supporting their children, for instance. That is as it should be.

Homosexuals are clamoring for special legal recognition of their sexual trysts as equivalent to the natural family.

The only meddling being done is by the homosexual activists and their generally leftist supporters, who infest the media like flies on - well, something that flies like. Any resistence conservatives put up against the onslaught of the "gay" agenda is called "meddling", "hatred", "homophobia" and so on. It really is a too feeble, too late defense against the destruction of human civilization. But it may work - more people are waking up to what the "gay" agenda really wants.

It wants OUR children - as voting fodder, sycophants, and potential sex partners. If you don't see this, it's for one of three reasons.

1. You haven't informed yourself, out of laziness maybe?

2. Seeing the reality of what has happened, what is happening, and what will happen disturbs your preconcenoptions about the world and reality.

3. You like the "gay" agenda because the elimination of all morality suits you.

I hope for your sake that your viewpoint is because of (1).
