Preemptive strike: Yes, I know that it should be "its" & not "it's", but I'm not the cartoonist :-(

Pix #8 of that woman is down right scary! Lord Vader my but it looks like something form "V". Yellow snake eyes, triangular head, even what looks like front fangs. Scary! Note to self, save for Halloween great image for Jackolantern.

No, "that woman" is not Miss Lewinsky...it's Christine Gregoire (D-WA), the governor elect (as of yesterday). Here's more on (2 words?) on our gal...

Actually, the "It's 2005." is correct. As a contraction for "It is 2005.", the apostrophe is needed.

The possessive form, such as "Washington state had its own election debacle this year.", doesn't use the apostrophe.

Also, remember that to use the possessive case as the object of a gerund, as in: "our helping you just comes naturally." Keep the gerund alive!

Yep, there's nothing worse than a dead gerund. They really start to stink after a couple of days.

Pookie was talking about the "it's disappointments" part, not the contraction. I saw an even better one a few days ago, when the cartoonist used the word "diety" rather than "deity". I kept saying out loud in a questioning voice: "Diet-y? Diet-Y? What's that?" (LOL!) It took me awhile to figure out it was a typo.

Thanks for the ping, Pookie, you perform a marvelous service for us all! Have a Happy New Year, and blessings to you.

Thanks...you beat me to the punch re "it's disappointments"!

Re John Cole's "diety" toon, he corrected it! The day before, I included an older Jack Lang toon that spoke about the "seperation" of Church & State...which is apropos in that neither the word nor the constitutional concept exists...

The Unofficial start of her campaign started years ago. I was at Atlanta Hartsfield (Now Maynard-Jackson) airport and saw a Hillary! Poster.

Also I seem to remember something about her heinous just after John Kerry conceded (although, like Gore - he really never did). She seems to be running hard right and trying to have religion. She will look as religious as Adolph Hitler running a gas chamber.
