I agree with your assessments, just today while speaking with me 74 yr/old mother and my 50 yr/old sister. Sis and I told Mom that we would not get our SS benefits money because we are paying Moms benefits, because Mom didn't put enough into the system while she was working through-out her work career. Mom didn't care she just wants her money and told us that No Politician better take her Money away and give it to us to invest in our own personal accounts. People it's the "Me-First" older generations attitude. Social Security overhaul will be the single toughest fight the Bush administration will Ever have. Iraq will seem like swatting a mosquito compared to tackling the Social Security debacle...
