They're not rejecting Israeli help, they're objecting to Israeli SOLDIERS being there to help. It's still STOOPID because each of those soldiers could do the work of two or three locals because of their training and their strength!
Aside from not even having decided how much to beg for check this out from the UN's point person in the area, one Dana Van Alphan of the Pan American Health Organization. (It is out of Dallas Morning News, 12/30/04, I would supply URL, but apparantly the paper's site is down at this time)
She urged authorities in tsunami-stricken countries to avoid burying unidentified corpses in mass graves. "I think that psychologically people have to be given the chance to identify their family members."
I think that psychologically, this dingbat is crazy as a s**thouse rat if she thinks anyone wants to beat off enough flies to TRY to identify whatever is left of a corpse after four days in tropical heat.
We need to tell the UN to shut the hell up and not bother working people unless and until they can come back with the $23 billion they stole and give that to someone who can make use of it.
Hmm,that's close to what I said.I stated that they're rejecting an IDF contingent(& i think the issue has been settled by the 2 nations) & not Israeli aid.
Cheers!!
That's unbelievable. Disease....hello??????
Yes, disease. I quote from the DMN article, Dec. 30 04, "But Dana Van Alphen of the Pan American Health Organization issued a statement declaring there was no danger of corpses contaminating water or soil because bacteria and viruses cannot survive in dead bodies."
Good Dana, after the families have properly identified them, we'll drop a few nicely aged corpses in your water well. IDIOT! One of the original forms of bacterial warfare involved catapulting human and animal corpses over the walls of a beseiged city, and damned effective it was.
What planet is the UN recruiting from these days?
