Darn, I forgot some zeroes. The CEO of the Red Cross business makes $400,000 a year in salary. And it is a business, not a charity, despite what folks think.
The RC even has union members. Yes!
And oversees a 4 billion per year operation.
On the other hand I read a few years back that Billy Graham took something like $70,000 per year but then Graham isn't in it for the money either.
I'm no great defender of the Red Cross, what got me on this was the "80%" admin costs being bandied about. Well, I looked it up and posted a link - It's 04% admin costs. People can put down the Red cross all they want. But I wish they would do it without falsifying figures. - It doesn't help their cause.
