Thank you, W. Did you get my Christmas post? You probably didn't. I might ping you again for that one. Once again, thanks for the sentiments. I appreciate 'em.

Happy New Year!
Lots of good and not so good for me this year. Lost my dear daddy, and just sitting here thinking about how he spent his last New Year's Eve alone, as we all went to a family party. It was before we knew he was sick. I'd give just about anything to have that night to live over, and spend it with him, just talking and laughing, and drinking a few Bud Lights together....:)
Didn't want to bring the thread down, just posting from the heart. Thanks for listening.
Love to all my friends at FR, and hope you all have a safe and prosperous 2005.

I'm so sorry about your dad, Lisa.
Don't be too hard on yourself. We all have "coulda, shoulda, woulda" moments, as I call them. The first year after losing a loved one is always the toughest.
Wishing you a blessed and Happy New Year!

Give my best to everyone in my beloved Nevada!! I lived in the Reno/Sparks area for 5 years, and my heart is still there!!
Beautiful surroundings and great people. It doesn't get any better than that!!
Happy New Year and enjoy the snow (send some to Virginia)
P.S.
If you bump into the General Manager (Court Cardinal) of Casino Fandango, tell him I said hello !!

I think I ran into him the other night at the Republican Party Christmas party. Happy New Year to you as well.

Yep!! That would be him, ESPECIALLY if it was at a Republican Party function. He and his wife Marianne are two of my favorite people.
