Actually, there are a large number (*growing number, I might add*) of Republicans who staunchly disagree with the President on this issue. (**By the way, we voted for him and supported him in many areas. We are allowed to disagree with him, without your approval... or his, for that matter.) Areaman is not alone in his "opinion".
