Americans Taking Action Against Illegal Immigration State-by-State
Magic City Morning Star ^ | 12/30/2004 | Jan Herron

Posted on 12/30/2004 1:24:14 PM PST by nanak

The recent action by Arizona citizens that passed legislation allowing that state to block taxpayer services to illegal aliens was long over due. I applaud their efforts and endless work. The voters of Arizona sent the perfect message: Foreigners who break into the US illegally don't receive freebies from Arizona citizens. They will be reported and deported. The loud and clear message sent by Arizona taxpayers means the money in their wallets will no longer subsidize border jumpers. EVERY STATE in the country needs to implement their own initiative and send out a clear warning that their "Bank of Entitlements" will no longer fund illegal aliens.

Throughout this country, complaints grow on a daily basis. Our shopping malls and parking lots explode with illegal aliens who dump garbage, are drunk and urinate in public while seeking work "Americans won't do" (which is known as the big lie created by corporate crooks). This creates a fearful situation that turns citizens away from entering businesses they once supported. Our hospitals bankrupt, our schools cascade into overrun classrooms and unemployment bursts at the seams in unemployment lines.

EVERY STATE must consider the consequences of this massive invasion by illegals. Why? The line never ends. According to Time Magazine's September 12, 2004 issue, "Who Left the Door Open?" three million jumped U.S. borders in 2004. More are expected in 2005. It is imperative for ALL STATES to follow Arizona's lead in denying services to these lawbreakers. Contact your state legislators and hold their feet to the fire. Demand your U.S. House representative join the Immigration Reform Caucus. Further, any elected official who supports President Bush's amnesty legislation needs to be reminded that citizens will no longer tolerate deviation from the truth regarding his "guest worker" sham.

We must bypass national politicians and bring issues before the voters. Look for numerous groups, including Georgians for Immigration Reform and Defend Colorado Now -- currently pursuing effective action.

Recently, Senators Kennedy and McCain joined forces to "work" the illegal alien problem. Worse, their contemporaries assist them in perpetuating their insidious propaganda that misinforms and misleads Americans. We must expose government mismanagement and corruption. Unfortunately, career politicians prolong this national crisis. Greedy elected officials need to be reckoned with as they have been hijacked by lobbyists. We must get to the bottom of the cesspool since our federal government offers little, if any, help. We must start at the local government level and manage "OUR" money.

It's time our elected officials represent "We the People." They swore on the Bible to uphold the Constitution and serve American citizens. Nowhere did it say they serve illegal aliens from other countries over American citizens. It's time they follow through on their sacred trust as a majority of Americans are "mad as hell and are not going to take it anymore."

THIS WEBSITE

This website is a conservative forum. There are many conservatives who don't agree with President Bush's liberal illegal immigration policies, and rightly so. There are others on this site who worship him and anything he promotes.

Bush is just one of the many reasons why I switched parties. I have the deepest respect and admiration for the man. Why on earth he would want four more years of headaches fighting against the leftist media that hates his guts is beyond me.

He and I part company when it comes to his amnesty for illegal aliens.Throw their a**es in jail then kick same a**es out of this country.

I voted for him so I can criticize him if I see fit to. Anyone one here saying some people need to start a bush hating web is being ridiculous. He's our president....not our God.

I'm not sure what you mean but off hand they can not have my phone number.

I see; you're positive that people will be able to find cheap labor, but you're not willing to put your "money" where you mouth is and take responsibility for your statement.

I know it wasn't a scientific poll but 85 % is a lot.

It sure is a lot, especially when the DUers spam internet polls; for all you know, he sent out 100 and only 3 people returned them.

"Utter drivel."

Normally I'd agree. But then why is it Fox makes an announcement to the illegal populus of Mexicans in this country of a plan which has the potential of dire consequences for American taxpayers and a week or so later the American citizens are "informed" by our government? CIP, the "Totalization of SSI with Mexico". They're selling Americans short for Fox's appeasement at every corner and unfortunately President Bush leads the pack. The only "restraints" come from people with the fortitude to say "NO!", like Tancredo.

Howlin, there is chronological proof contained within the reports this very thing happened. I'll relentlessly defend our leaders and their policies when those are devised in sanity and have Americans' interests FIRST. I will also ring that 202 area code until they're sick when asinine, costly proposals that have the makings of disaster for OUR people surface. The President's proposals regarding Mexico alone is stomach-churning.

"Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free......."

That applied to documented aliens coming through a port. But there is a huge difference between a stream of aliens who are coming hear to find work, and a flood well on its way to inundating social services and infrastructure. People who live in Vegas (like I do), Arizona, California, exas etc. know the difference.

Example 1: illegal alien cleaning lady wanted to marry me. She'd been here 10 years, 7th grade education, spoke not a lick of English (I'm fluent). She had 8 brothers and sisters here, as well as her parents, all illegals. I guarantee most were living off the system.

Example 2: Illegals who helped move my office, then came back and cleared out my storage shed.

Example 3: Illegal kid I worked with, gets 5 year old pregnant, splits back to Mexico.

That's just my immediate contact, there is a flood of similar stories. Fix your own problems down in Mexico, don't bring them here for us to fix. Previous immigrants weren't coming here for us to fix their problems.

Very well put!!

Following links are what some well respected Republicans and conservatives have to say on this issue:

But House Majority Leader Tom DeLay, R-Texas, said through a spokesman that he remains "skeptical" that Bush's plan "constitutes sound public policy."
"Those that seek the American dream must follow American laws," DeLay said. "I applaud the president for addressing this difficult and complex issue but have heartfelt reservations about allowing illegal immigrants into a U.S. guest worker program that seems to reward illegal behavior."
Republicans like Rep. Tom Tancredo of Colorado vowed to defeat the plan. He described the measure as an "amnesty" program that is "an indication that the administration's priority places cheap labor and political points ahead of national security."
Other conservative Republicans were also uneasy with the notion of clearing millions of illegal immigrants to work and earn government benefits. "It's such a huge hump for so many of our members to get over," said a Republican aide who works on immigration issues.
SOURCE

Dissension over immigration goes beyond Congress. Bobby Eberle, president and CEO of GOPUSA, a conservative website promoting Republicans, reiterated the strong belief among many rank-and-file conservatives that illegal immigration does indeed threaten national security.

The Bush proposal would be a viable solution if the problem of mass illegal immigration were merely a question of legality. The phenomenon of mass illegal immigration has profound consequences on labor markets, education, public health and the fiscal solvency of state and local governments.

I voted for Peroutka of the Constitution Party this time in protest of the President's insane immigration policies. Those of us in California are up to our necks supporting illegal aliens, and our state is broke. President Bush continues to push his agenda against the will of the majority of Americans...

Considering your repsonse has the usual amount of arrogance tinged with ignorance that I see from most B-bots I sincerely doubt you understand the serious ramifications of the policies (or lack of) brought forth by Bush and others over illegal immigration.

If you don't have a problem with innocent Americans being robbed, raped and murdered by those who don't belong here or like seeing your tax $ go to supplement the living expenses of illegals who are paid minimal wages by unscrupulous employers or enjoy seeing Social Security $ go to illegals then by all means get in line with the rest of the kool-aid drinkers and have a ball cause not too far down the road someday.....the welfare wagon for these people is coming to a screeching halt......guess what kind of mood they're going to be in then? Here's a hint: VIVA LA RAZA!

It sure is a lot, especially when the DUers spam internet polls; for all you know, he sent out 100 and only 3 people returned them.

First, this poll was not an internet poll. It was mailed to his constitutes in the 2nd congressional district of Missouri. So your comment about spam and DU'ers is not a factor. As far as sending 100 out and getting only 3 back is a slam against a Republican Congressman. Do you really know enough about Todd Akin to besmirch him like that? From what I gather and I may be wrong, you're somewhat of a Republican Party operative (not meant as an insult). Maybe you can ask around about him.

I see; you're positive that people will be able to find cheap labor, but you're not willing to put your "money" where you mouth is and take responsibility for your statement.

I never said that people can find cheap labor and there is no guarantee in the U.S. Constitution for such. Labor and the cost of labor is part of "supply and demand economics". I'm confident that the American people can survive without cheap, subsidized labor. As far as my personal responsibility and "putting my money where my mouth is", why am I responsible for all these people looking for cheap labor? My plate is full of personal responsibilities but I'm sure you don't want to hear about my personal life.

Sir we will have to agree to disagree on some subjects. However I don't feel the need to call you ignorant or arrogant, as you have clearly demonstrated you have not. I don't make my political discussions personal, and hope others would afford me the same courtesy.

While President Bush is working behind their backs to make the illegals LEGAL,, then what.?. I would say state "laws" to determine what a citizen of THAT STATE IS.. There NO citizens of the United States anyways, ZERO.. The US has NO citizens..

ALL citizens are citizens of STATES.. The STATE has a right to determine who lives there.. OR NOT..

Sorry......I just thought if you were so passionate about defending Bush et al you might want to perhaps explain why but if you insist on making your political discussions personal (?) so be it......but at spome point you might want to take an objective look at this situation which I've defined as a march to national suicide.....this nonsense and the FTAA will probably do the trick.

Apology accepted, I won't purport to know everything about the subject, and it is interesting and informative to read alternative points of view. I'm certainly not averse to questioning the policies of the Bush administration. FR is the best source of news around, especially for conservative thought. Sometimes it's a pain in the butt to weed through the nitpickers ;)
