True, but maybe letting the people who care about him know he had survived was more important to him than capitalizing on a huge tragedy. FYI, his mainstream movies released in the US have made a ton of money. I guess there are a lot of karate fans out there.

FYI, his mainstream movies released in the US have made a ton of money. I guess there are a lot of karate fans out there. Maybe so, it's possible that I am clueless on the subject. However, when it comes to Karate, Mr. Miyagi is still my man.

His US films have made a ton of money, and I always watch his new releases, but IMHO they stink next to his older Chinese films.
