We should assist those, not the rest of the world.
When a farmer is injured and can't get the crop in, his neighbors help.
But if when he is able and doesn't help his neighbors that is remembered, so the next time he needs help, his neighbors will tell him to sod off.
Methinks we should tell these people to sod off, since they don't help us when we need it.
That is inappropriate thinking at this time. Americans have never been that way and we never will be that way. Thank God.
from a pragmatic perspective, the politicians who already use anti-American BS to get elected have less traction the next ballot time.
The key is, not to send a-holes who later do stuff like this:
An Apology to the Iraqi People (Barf Alert --- American Medic apologies?)

Because Jesus told us to do unto others as we would have them do unto us (not do unto them as they do unto us).
It used to be called the Golden Rule.
Not true. I still remember the cute picture of Arafat with a needle in his arm so that he could donate blood to the victims of the WTC bombing...
"Methinks we should tell these people to sod off, since they don't help us when we need it."
I agree, but there were Europeans among them. So, in order to help them, we had to help them too.
I hope it makes sense, I think.
