This is just another STUPID feel good campaign promise that is a waste of time and public funds.

If they want to get illegal guns off the streets start enforcing the laws that are already on the books!!!!!

Look at the guys standing on the corners at 2 and 3am and PAY ATTENTION to the foot traffic that stops to converse with them and pay them for them bestowing profound knowledge to the select masses with glazed eyes.

I'm a rabid 2A supporter, but this doesn't seem like it's too intrusive. If they genuinely go out and seek ILLEGAL handguns, then what's the harm? If the Albany PD comes knocking on my door (I live in FL, this is hypothetical) and see that I've got no priors and own all of my firearms legally, then I'm in the clear, right?

The one problem I do see is that it could be used to start a firearms DB, which is completely wrong, IMO. Given that this is a state where Hitlery and Rangle preside over the people, I'm sure there's an ulterior motive. Any thoughts?
