To: Gritty

I like the idea of locating the UN in one of the trouble-spots in the world.

They can let us know when they have solved the problem, and then we can dispatch them to another country.

The good news is that we won't have to hear from time except in 20-year or so cycles. Or am I being too optimistic?

Too optimistic, I would think.

As long as the UN has the prospect of fleecing us for more money, we will hear from them constantly.

However, if they are trying to hold off the looting mobs at their own front gates they may stop yelling for money long enough to start hollering for the Marines. I hope we would be firm in denying their one last request!
