I saw Cliff May on one of the news nets yesterday asking that question. He said that the UN pays someone to check the level of the snowpack for Alpine ski resorts, but wouldn't ensure that there was a tsunami warning system in place for countries around the Indian Ocean?!
U.N. priorities (in this case for luxury ski trips for dignataries) are obvious to everyone but the Left.
