Speaking to the head of a Jewish Synagogue in Rome Justin Martyr is saying that this transference of the Holy Spirit ie the gifts of the Holy Spirit; tongues, healing, miracles, prophecy, etc. from Israel to the church is one of the most important signs that God has rejected Israel and taken for himself another people – the church. Say what you will but since John the Baptist and Jesus Israel has had no prophet. This has continued for over 1970 years. Israel has had no King from the tribe of Judah for well over 2100 years. And has had not temple for over 1930 years.

When you look at those things and then Christ and the how the church flourished -- is it any wonder that they would rail against such a film.
