I have a question for all the whining internationalists who somehow think evil rich greedy America should come running to the rescue.

Since India and Thailand are now capable of competing with us in the world marketplace, even to the extent that American workers here have been displaced by foreign workers over there (and yes, that *does* include Thailand, for a fact), doesn't that indicate that those countries are now our economic equals and therefore should be able to PAY THEIR OWN WAY in this crisis?

In fact... if the answer to that is "No", and that we should be helping them out even if they are now our economic equals, doesn't THAT mean that in reciprocal fashion they should be sending *US* money whenever *WE* have a natural disaster? (Like, ferinstance, 114,466 hurricanes in a row in Florida this year?????)

HMMMMMM???????

In the short-term the situation over there is overwhelming their capacity to handle this and they definitely need some help (I'd love to see this reciprocated too). Long-term is another question.

India has made it clear that it does not require or want any outside aid.
