As the Asian quake and tsunami death toll topped 100,000 and is rising, President Bush said the United States' initial grant of $35 million in SE Asia was 'only the beginning of our aid.' He said the United States, India, Australia and Japan have formed an international coalition to coordinate worldwide relief and reconstruction efforts for the Asian region. Aid agencies today warned disease will also cause massive casualties among the survivors as the biggest relief effort in history began.
The president took issue with Jan Egeland, the United Nations' emergency relief coordinator who called the US "stingy" in regard to helping other nations. (Egeland later said his remarks were misinterpreted.) Bush noted that the United States provided $2.4 billion "in food, in cash, in humanitarian relief to cover the disasters for last year. ... That's 40 percent of all the relief aid given in the world last year."

But these are what I would call "good" people making these charges against the President. One day when the truth of the propaganda plague begins to be made known to them, I am sure they will shake their heads in shame at ever holding these views. I hope they will hold anger at the propagandizers as much as we who see the truth about the liars do now.

George W. Bush leads Gallup's annual survey of the "most admired man" for the fourth year in a row. Hillary Clinton tops the most admired woman list with Oprah Winfrey close behind. Republicans overwhelmingly say the president is the most admired man, and also name first lady Laura Bush and national security adviser Condoleezza Rice as the most admired women. Democrats, meanwhile, are most likely to mention Bill and Hillary Clinton as the most admired man and woman.

Actually, Gallup should have identified the President as the MOST ADMIRED PERSON given that he bested Hillary 23% to 13%. [Note: The President was identified as 'Most Admired' by 23%; Clinton was second in the male category with a mere 6% of the vote -- Clinton is soooooooooo OVER!]

We're just moving about 6 miles from here so will be back and forth to a certain extent, too. I just hope I can figure out the logistics of what to move where, and when! We have a lot of friends to help us (they have cattle trailers!) so hopefully we can do most of it in one fell swoop.

Take you drawers out of the cabinets and just transfer them to the new drawers....much easier that was.....Also move clothes in closet before you move beds....easier to get around things.....
OMG....sounds like you'll be having Christmas in July...
The house is scheduled to be moved on-site Feb. 1st, barring a blizzard. It comes in three pieces, and will take about three weeks to get it all put together, stretch the carpet, get all the water, electricity, heat, etc., etc. hooked up, and painting done (that's my job!). So, God-willing, we'll be in by the end of Feb!
I am so glad you and your family and Ohio and her family can be all together this Christmas. God bless you all.

Just heard more dumping on the President with the tsunami
disaster.
More people were killed under Clinton while he did nothing
except his I feel your pain.
Million + in the horn of Africa, Kurds and others in Iraq,
and the list could go on. Not to mention letting al Qaeda
get away with their terror, ie '93 World Trade Center bombing, USS Cole, etc. Republicans need to get their face out there on TV and remind or inform the dimwits
who really is the problem person.
Do you have your shopping list made? Bet you'll be glad to get out. That's a LONG time to be stuck inside!
If there's no hurry, take your time......No one needs the pressure of doing two jobs.....I speak from experience....I'd teach all day then come home and work 4-5 hours on the barn/house.....It's such a joy when you've finished.....
The worse move I've heard of we a couple of neighbors of mine who decided to switch houses.....Older couple needed less room, youngen' needed more......They moved one room into the cattle trailers.....took it to the new house unloaded it in the garage, loaded up it's equal. painted each room, and then moved things back in.....Took quite a while.....
