I noticed this too .... the fact is that he was being honest within the context of his quote. There is a great 'faith' out there in 'science' as an entity. He's not really a 'evolutionary biologist'; he's a priest of secularism disguised as a kindly lab coated dude in an unbiased search of, ahem deep breath now, the 'truth'. Ah we are so fortunate...
