The Iraqis will try Saddam. Clark need not try and impose his liberal/scoialist thinking on that process, I am sure the Iraqis can take care of it just fine themselves.

Saddam is entitled to a lawyer. This is no different than John Adams defending British soldiers who killed Americans during at the Boston Massacre. Ramsey Clark is far worse than a standard issue liberal. If he isn't an ideological Marxist, I would be surprised. His relentless support for any enemy of the United States, Communist or Muslim, is yet another example of plentiful evidence of an alliance between leftists and Muslim extremists on a worldwide scale.

Remember that Saddam Hussein is not a Muslim fundamentalist, but a Ba'athist, that is, a member of a nationalist and socialist party with strong ties to the old Soviet bloc. Ba'athist ideology is an amalgam of Nazism and Stalinism, dressed up in pan-Arab and Muslim rhetoric. Clark is defending a socialist "brother."
