Terri's mother and father (Bob and Mary Schindler) visited Terri today at Woodside Hospice. Terri is hanging in there but is suffering from a lot of muscle twitches. She's had them for a long time due to lack of physcial therapy. Michael Schiavo forbids Terri from receiving any form of therapy.

The nurses at Woodside Hospice treat Terri's family as if they're criminals. They are rude and inconsiderate to the family. However, the nurses treat Michael like he's a god. The nurses obey Michael instead obeying their conscience to treat disabled people in a humane way.

Poor Terri! I've had those muscle twitches and I'll tell you what, they can be painful. Undergoing therapy is also painful, but it eases over time as the therapy becomes productive. Not undergoing therapy is even worse. There is no recovery without it. Are the Schindlers allowed to massage Terri's arms and legs at all, or are they forbidden that, too?

If the twitches are muscle spasms, that's because she's not had therapy as you noted. They are painful charley horses in muscles that have not been toned or exercised. The muscle spasms are her body's way of saying "massage my arms and legs, stretch, my arms and legs."

FURTHER, THE COLD WEATHER CONTRIBUTES TO HER MUSCLES IN SPASM. Her body is too cold and there's no way to know what the thermostat is set at in Terri's room. SINCE MICHAEL IS IN CHARGE, HE MAY TELL THEM TO LEAVE THE HEAT OFF. He is their boss you know, not the doctors.
