The latest motion filed by the Schindler's attorneys rightly accuses Judge George Greer of failing to provide Terri with an independent counsel and of failing to meet personally with her before ordering her execution. The motion contends that the execution ordered by Judge George Greer in 2000 is void.

The motion states, "The Court did not even meet with her (Terri) to independently assess her demeanor, capabilities, credibiity, etc. before it authorized the extraordinarly drastic action of authorizing her slow death by starvation and dehydration."
The motion further states, "In light of this Court's Order authorizing Mrs. Schiavo to be slowly dehydrated and starved to death, the proceedings herein effectively denied Mrs. Schiavo her access to court and her right to counsel."
"Mrs. Schiavo's life and libety interests were decided by this Court without providing her with even minimal due process rights such as the right to the assistance of independent counsel or to appear in court."
Florida State Statues 744.331 state that incapacitated persons have the right to independent counsel. Judge George Greer has failed to provide Terri with even the most basic constitutional rights.
Bump!
Terri ping to 943! It's too bad that someone has to petition a judge to give Terri an independent voice in these proceedings, but I'll forgive Greer if he lets her have one.
If anyone would like to be on/off my Terri ping list, please let me know here or by FReepmail.
