Such actions as hanging up on a lifetime Republican illustrates that the coverup starts at home and goes all the way to Tallahassee. WHEN WILL SOMEONE INVESTIGATE WHY THE PRO-DEATH WING OF THE REPUBLICAN PARTY EXISTS AT ALL AND WHY GREER IS PROTECTED LIKE HE'S AN INNOCENT.

Sanctity of Human Life focus covers variety of issues

JACKSONVILLE (FBW) — Southern Baptists across America will mark Sanctity of Human Life Sunday, January 16, mindful of recent victories in the political arena—the re-election of a pro-life president, the gain of pro-life votes in the U.S. Senate, and the introduction of key legislation touching on issues from partial-birth abortion to stem cell research and cloning.
In Florida, pro-life supporters were handed two victories when voters approved Amendment 1, “Parental Notification of a Minor’s Termination of Pregnancy” by a wide margin – 65.7 to 25.3 percent – in the November election in which they also tapped pro-lifer Mel Martinez for the U.S. Senate.
But with attention focused elsewhere on pro-life victories, Florida Baptists continue to be faced with a battle of international proportions being waged over Terri Schiavo, a disabled woman at the center of a right-to-die debate.
The 41-year-old brain-damaged woman who currently receives nutrition and hydration through a tube, and who is said by some to be in a persistent vegetative state, has garnered the attention of pro-life supporters world-wide (see related stories on pages 4 and 13).
Terri has also gained the attention of Southern Baptist’s Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission (ERLC) which produces resources for Sanctity of Human Life Sunday.
The observance officially has been on the denominational calendar since 1985. The ERLC offers Faith & Family handouts that focus on life issues and pamphlets, such as “What the Bible Teaches About Abortion,” “What They Never Told You About the Facts of Life” and a tract by Land titled, “Is Life a Right?” The ERLC also produces a suggested sermon outline and Bible study on the Sanctity of Human Life, along with theme posters and an extensive fact sheet. These resources are available by calling 1-800-475-9127, or visiting www.erlc.com.
In addition to information about abortion, the ERLC produces a variety of resources and papers related to adoption, euthanasia, stem cell research, cloning and other major pro-life issues. The ERLC has also published stories about Terri Schiavo’s plight and has included a feature on Persistent Vegetative State (PVS) in resources available for this year’s SOHL observance (see story on this page).

It's what happening now to Terri. She is being held hostage by the very Hospice of the Florida Suncoast which is a friend of the Office of Elder Affairs. The truth of the matter is that the press near and far were given a true account of Terri's situation in January of 2003. Within that document, the Schindlers told their side of the story, gave evidence of doctors' accounts that their daughter was not PVS, gave evidence of accounts of people who knew Terri and who either testified or gave statements that Michael Schiavo's interpretation of Terri's 'wishes' was far removed from her personal attitude on the subject of life and death.
They were given the bone scan and its interpretation. They were given affidavits of former caregivers who called Terri 'alert, oriented responsive and somewhat communicative.
The press and the media ignored these things.
Instead, they decided to editorialize Terri's case and the case of Terri's law as being a matter of fundamentalists pushing their values onto others. They ignored the disability advocates who spoke up and who entered amicus briefs. They ignored the un-involved, not-political, not-spiritual people who saw murder as murder. The basically wrote anything but the truth. They continued to call Terri 'comatose, brain dead and PVS'.
In a nutshell, they wrote what they wanted to write. Moreover, they wrote what suited the political climate.
Never did any of these mainstream bunkies address the numerous and ongoing statutory violations under Florida's guardian laws against Terri Schiavo. Not once. Not even a mention.
When you write to them (and you should - and I will), you may wish to point out Florida's guardian laws and how this particular guardian has violated them time and again. You might want to point out how Terri Schiavo will not die of starvation (a so-called euphoric, harmless death), but will die of dehydration (a barbaric, brutal, torturous and elongated demise). You may wish to point out some of the inconsistencies of Michael Schiavo's own testimony (I found my wife face up, I found my wife face down). You may even want to point out that Florida law already protects people like Terri from people like Michael.
As an empathetic member of the same cause, I can honestly tell you to not expect much from the mainstream. Again, media uses stories and circumstances to their own devices.
So... flood the airwaves. Talk radio has been a heaven send to Terri. Keep your blogs going. People read them. WRITE, WRITE, WRITE the Florida Legislators and Junior Senators and tell them you want a protection act heard this March. Keep writing your well-thought letters to major editors. They get published rather frequently and these things will help. The mainstream media will not. They haven't yet. They are only out for tears and gore. They have no interest in truth.
The grassroots saved this young woman in 2003. Many of you getting this were along for the ride. You saved this woman. The grassroots can do it again. To hell with A&E. Do what you know already works. When the average person hears the truth about Terri's situation (the truth they will never get from the mainstream press or media), they turn about. So, get the truth out to as many as you can. Don't hate the media. Become the media.

Guess my anger is still in full mode....I am FURIOUS that no one in the FLorida courts CARES that this man has flipped his finger and pointed his arse at the court order to show up for not one but TWO legally placed depositions meant to DETERMINE his ability to protect Terri as her guardian.

The people in Pinellas County should have NO FAITH in their judicial system, a system that allows a young woman, minute by minute, hour by hour, day by day, month by month and YEAR BY YEAR to suffer immeasurable injustice.
Even her parents attorneys who visited Terri this past Christmas eve noted our alert, aware, communicative, sweet and lonely this woman being held in a place for the terminally ill is.
These attorneys stated that she should have BEEN HOME AT THE CHRISTMAS TABLE WITH HER FAMILY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
