It has been acknowledged for some time that animals can "sense" the coming of a natural phenomina such as tornado's, and earthquakes. The tornado's are probably recognized because of a drop in the barometric pressure and the earthquakes because of a vibration which precedes them. Animals have a far greater sensitivity to all that occurs around them then we do and this helps them stay alive.
