UN get OUT!
Mullings ^ | 12/29/2004 | Rich Galen

The United States was deemed "stingy" in its immediate promise of $15 million in aid to the post-tsunami relief effort in Southeast Asia by the United Nations Undersecretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief, Jan Egeland.

The U.N. always harshes our gig, and we pay for the whole damn thing. I would bust their nuggets out to France and I would put a trained monkey on the Security Council that is only trained to hit the red NO button.

Some loony left radio talk show host interviewed on Hannity and Colmes tonight reiterated the "stingy" accusation and then went on to claim that our stinginess a direct result of the present administration's "lack of moral values" (which she repeated ad nauseum). A more shrill individual would be difficult to imagine..

Awesome article! I hope Galen sent it directly to Mr. Egeland. I'd like to see him wheedle his way out of this one, the little weasel.

I agree. Get the UN out of the US and get the US out of the UN.

I would have traded kerry for president and all the resultant crapola for the next generation to get this U.N. monkey off our backs. We'd be better off, say 2030.

As a Christian man, all my life I've tried to not harbor hate but I must say that I HATE the UN and Annan and friends. What an expensive but useless bunch of garbage that org. turned out to be. Not to mention the greed.

Problem is, with Kerry, getting the UN off our back wouldn't have happened. But, I do appreciate the sentiment.

You've got a good, yet simple, home page. All of us need to have the image burned in our being.

I say... KICK 'EM ALL OUT! We don't need the UN. Here's my plan:

UN BUILDING...BEFORE

AFTER

Let's condemn the building & implode it, then build some high-priced condos to sell to liberals in Manhattan, and use the profits to fund the war on terror.

Are these the same criminals who took bribes in the Iraqi oil for food program? People who took money for starving children want to lecture the most generous nation on Earth about morals. I guess they want another aid program to steal from.

The lefty complaint about Bush being stingy and "lack of moral value", possibly pertain to Bush pulling money out of the UN family reproductive aide given to countries such as China. Lefties has not leg to stand on if they are claiming some moral high ground. Nope, doesn't matter what the subject is, until you lefties stop condoning murdering of innocent unborn humans...then you might be considered even reasonable. NO excuses./

Why implode it? Why not just renovate it? Other than that, I'm with you all the way.

This is great. Can we get a congressman to put it into a bill?

I say implode it... I think it's an ugly building and I don't want to have to look at it anymore... but if renovation would be more cost-effective, that's fine. (I don't think New York liberals are all that picky about how their Manhattan condo buildings look, seeing as how they pay way too much for them already.)
