5. "I'm honored to shake the hand of a brave Iraqi citizen who had his hand cut off by Saddam Hussein." President Bush gave Bushism collectors some more fodder with that remark (AP, 5/25) Any Bushism collector who found substance in that poignant remark is an idiot. Bush was shaking the prosthetic hand of the victim of Hussein's madness.

Kennedy:
'"In the march to war, the president exaggerated the threat. It was not nuanced. It was pure, unadulterated fear-mongering, based on a devious strategy to convince the American people that Saddam's ability to provide nuclear weapons to Al Qaeda justified immediate war," (Sen.) Kennedy stated. '
Gore:
In an hour-long address punctuated by polite laughter and applause, Gore also accused the Bush administration of working closely "with a network of 'rapid response' digital Brown Shirts who work to pressure reporters and their editors for 'undermining support for our troops."'

CBS was surprisingly harsh on the kerrys.
I like it.
Did anyone ever find out if Senator Leahy obeyed Dick Cheney's command?

like the little girly-man he is, he skittered out of the hall and had his aides tell the reporters about 'that vulgar Cheney' immediately.
that story only enchanted the Republican base. Cheney told off this scabrous slime IN PRIVATE after the scabrous slime crossed over to Cheney during a photo shoot and pretended to be buddy-buddy. Leahy had just slandered the VP in every way imaginable.

I'm not even sure the quote is legit.
All I know is that I copied it, among others, from a quotation sites under the heading of Bushisms. Some of them I actually remember myself as having been said by Bush and discussed here on these threads.

In an hour-long address punctuated by polite laughter and applause But is it really "polite" when it's a mercy laugh / applause response? I mean, doesn't that just egg the sucker on?
