Amazing!

Actually not all that amazing. Hobbyists build seismometers for a few hundred bucks that can easily record much smaller quakes (Mag 6) from all over the world.

I'd like to know how fast the vibrations were traveling in order to reach OK in 15 minutes.

Are you sure the vibrations felt in Oklahama were from the 'Quake' in Sumatra, and not from Micheal Moore taking a crapper?

12-inch vertical movement in Oklahoma

Whoops, I missed the leading decimal point.

"Neither phenomenon had been reported"
I feel the title is misleading. Author should have said recorded or measured as by instrument. No one reported feeling it.

My C-band dish in Ohio has gone slightly out of aim......and I noticed it Saturday just after the Earthquake.

The signal strength of G-0, was at 100 just prior to the quake.

Right after the quake, the signal strength of G-0 was at 94. I had to adjust my dish slightly to get back to 100.

All my other coordinates were also out by the same amount.

Has anyone else noticed a change in their C-band dishes after the quake?

BTW.....MY dish was locked in by rust....no movement because of wind.

I had to bust the rust in order to move it to the new position.

I never had to adjust before this.
