So far there are over 50,000 deaths, and no doubt, many more tragedies beyond that. That celebrities are reported is no surprise, we all know of them. They are a part of this unfolding story too. The grandson of the Thai monarch died in the tsunami.
The many thousands who have perished and been injured are unknown to the vast majority of us. How can the news report their story in an individual way? Perhaps through picking representative stories.
These are the KNOWN people; there are thousands of unkowns we will never read about.
Perhaps, just perhaps, some airhead will read THIS story and give a damn for a change.
