Well put.
I agree with you. I think Islam must have a flaw that permits its defusing (however difficult) and this thread may hold the key.
If Muslims can be drawn in to a discussion of some common point, Jesus perhaps, maybe we can get them to defend Islam in a way that results in their critical (but, otherwise blasphemous) analysis of it.
Only God's spirit will open the eyes of a Muslim.
I believe that the Muslims are the many who are led astray, following after false prophets, of which Scripture speaks.
Muslims claim that they, like Jews and Christians, are people of "the book" (the Bible).
Mohammed wrote the Koran and he did it to hamstring people for power. Conversion by the sword, make slaves of those of other faiths, have sex with those slaves (breed them out).
The Koran cannot be tampered with and it hijacks the Judeo-Christian tradition.
If a muslim chooses to accept Christ as the Divine Savior, then they can become Christian. If they want to continue with the belief that Jesus is merely a man (possibly a prophet, but not the Son of God) and continue to deny the resurrection, then they can become Jews. EXCEPT there is that awful Koran again that has so demonized Jews that it would be positively unthinkable of ever "becoming" one.
The "third way" is a lie; it has been such a powerful lie that I suspect that Mohammed was the AntiChrist.
Thanks the ping weenie.... I look forward to any positive developments. ;o)

Islam has a couple of Achilles' heels. One, Muslims believe Jesus was a prophet and that a prophet cannot lie:
Rev 1:1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified [it] by his angel unto his servant John: ......... http://www.blueletterbible.org/kjv/Rev/Rev001.html#1
...... Rev 22:18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
Rev 22:19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and [from] the things which are written in this book.
Rev 22:20 He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.... http://www.blueletterbible.org/kjv/Rev/Rev022.html#18
And from Paul, former persecuter of Christians, and who was hand chosen by Jesus to spread the gospel:
Gal 1:8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
Gal 1:9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any [man] preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. http://www.blueletterbible.org/kjv/Gal/Gal001.html#8
Furthermore, I think it significant that Jesus appeared in the Old Testament to Hagar, mother of the Arabs:
Gen 16:13 And she called the name of the LORD that spake unto her, Thou God seest me: for she said, Have I also here looked after him that seeth me? http://www.blueletterbible.org/kjv/Gen/Gen016.html#13

[ Exd 33:20 And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live.

Jhn 1:18 No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared [him]. http://www.blueletterbible.org/tsk_b/Jhn/1/18.html

Last, but not least:
Jhn 3:16 For God so loved THE WORLD, that he gave his only begotten Son, that WHOSOEVER believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. http://www.blueletterbible.org/tsk_b/Jhn/3/16.html
