NEW DELHI: Huge waves that battered the Indian coastline after an earthquake in Indonesia may have damaged a nuclear power plant in southern Tamil Nadu state, the government said on Monday. The Press Trust of India news agency said Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had called a meeting on Tuesday to review any damage to the plant.
if it's modern design it doesn't matter.
If it's really old design, big problem.

Tidal waves: No danger to Kalpakkam atomic power station

There is no danger to the Madras Atomic Power Station at Kalpakkam near Chennai due to the tidal waves caused by tremors in coastal areas on Sunday morning, Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd sources said in Mumbai.
The sources told PTI that unit two of the plant was hit by the waves, adding it has been safely shut down.
