The horrible rant you speak of has been going on for decades. He is a bitter, bitter man and even though he is an extremely talented comedian that bitterness has virtually taken over his routine.
I last saw him in the early 90's and knew I would never again see his act.

I think losing his wife had a profound effect on him that permeated everything in his life. I hope he finds some peace.

Yes, George Carlin was a talented comedian decades ago. But for most of my lifetime he has savagely attacked his nation and the Church he abandoned. No great loss if this sour old leftie kicked the habit of living along with the "vikes".
