Point of information: we do so already today. Any undocumented immigrant who commits a felony gets deported upon his or her release from jail.

That is what is supposed to happen, but it is not what really happens. If were lucky, we might find and deport 75% of the felons in jail.

Send these people to a place like Elba or something, just out of here and away from the rest of us.

In 2003, Mexico took back only 109 prisoners from the U.S., even though in California alone, 17,500 prisoners are Mexican nationals -- including more than 14,000 illegal aliens. And get this: Mexico won't take back those who've been here longer than five years. Just because.
