Teresa Heinz may have failed in her bid to become first lady, but she's not giving up on buying her way into political power.
"The word in Pennsylvania is that Kerry and other family members are pressing her son Chris Heinz to run for a House of Representatives seat," says the Washingtonian Magazine. "Chris Heinz is attractive and photogenic, and campaign funding wont be a problem," the mag notes.
The tart tongued billionairess who calls opponents "scumbags" also believes that leading conservative Sen. Rick Santorum is beatable in 2006.
Mrs. Heinz is expected to pour some of her ketchup cash into the coffers of any challenger who stands a chance against Santorum.
Good to see Teraaaayza has her priorities straight.
And if the voters don't like him they can 'Shove It'.
Photogenic? LOL. They continue to push Chris Heinz as a stud. He's a dolt like his mother with her mouth. He went around college campuses saying how Bush was going to bring back the draft and called Bush a 'cokehead', idiot, the usual lines from the losers. There's nothing there.
Yeah, just what America needs: more style without substance.
"Manchurian Candidate"
We do not forget, do we. He is as worthless as his step-father, J. F'n Kerry.
So the gin-soaked (raisin) lady couldn't buy her gigolo-husband the Presidency, so she's going to settle for buying her son a House seat. Money + good looks + being photogenic = worthiness to hold a House seat? I don't think so.
They seem to have a lot of that in that family.
I'd like to start spending their income on social programs for the less fortunate.
I thought John Edwards was her son...
PING!
Before you are one of two people to represent the people of Pennsylvania in the most exclusive club in Washington, the Senate.
Try to win a lowly congressional district first to see if you are more than just a mama's boy
Are these the qualifications for a DEM candidate?? Nothing about any ideas?
I'm sure she has figured out that buying her son a House seat will cost a whole lot less than she spent trying to buy her husband the presidency.
You would think so the way she carried on about his hair, etc.
Maybe they were doing a little action behind the back of her husband??? You never know with these guys.
Alas, this is the state of our representative republic nowadays. Are we a nation so devoid of qualified citizens that this 'statement' stands unchallenged by the MSM? Oppps, I forgot, the MSM is the reason these are qualifying characteristics to be a representative.
