Why do you think the GOP will pick up the FL seat? Has Nelson said he is not running? If he runs, I would favor him to retain his seat.

BTW, this GOP voter in AL is not voting for Roy Moore. The state of Alabama is not the place for someone to be challenging the authority of the Federal government. Alabama is 0-2, really 0-3 now with Moore in choosing the right issue and the right time to question Federal authority.

I believe the GOP will win the FL senate race because it is in 2006. In FL especially, off year elections favor republicans, look at JEB bush in 2002, the democrats were "OUT FOR REVENGE" after he stole the presidential election from them. In FL I believe that on average there is around a + 200K conservative v liberal turnout in off-year elections.

What I mean is take the difference between the conservative voter turn out and the liberal voter turnout from florida in 2004 and add 200K to the conservative column. This senator is the last state wide elected democrat left in florida, all this taken together points to trouble for dems. Also you would be letting alabama down, you would be letting america down, and you would be letting statesmen and politicians everywhere who believe in what they say down, if you vote against Roy Moore.

Nelson of FL has run as a centrist in the past. He has now joined the Michael Moore school of loonatic-fringe liberalism. He's toast.

OTOH, I can't imagine a Republican winning a Senate race in Washington against any incumbent.
